Coaching is at the core of what we do at Ellingham & Ringwood RFC. A highly organised and motivated coaching team will lead to a more enjoyable and better standard of play for players and their supporters. We are fortunate enough to have Trevor Bristow leading this area of the Club. He has driven and directed the coaching approach at ERRFC for several years and continues to moves things forward in a positive fashion. We have organisation and professionalism driving the Club to higher standards and this shows in the performance of the teams in all age groups. Our results continue to improve and new players and coaches join us to develop their knowledge and skills.
We have six age groups in the Mini Section : under 6 – under 12, and five groups in the under 13 – under 16 age groups, including the under 15 girls side. All of our coaches are CRB checked (Criminal Records Bureau) and our coaches have, or are working towards RFU qualifications.
Getting involved in the coaching is a rewarding experience and, whether you have played in the past or not, we are sure that your offer to help can be transformed into a positive contribution to our youngsters.

At ERRFC we are looking to develop the standard of all our coaches, in terms of their ability and approach. We have a Coaches Code of Conduct as recommended by the RFU, please download this document if you want to coach at the Club.
Download Coaches Code of Conduct (.pdf)It establishes a set of guiding principles that ERRFC expects all coaches to adopt and abide by whilst engaged in coaching or managing players on behalf of the club.
All coaches, new and experienced, should familiarise themselves with these principles and endeavour to ‘live the values’ they communicate.
Please have a look at the courses below to identify how you could contribute to yourself and the Club by progressing your training, development and skills. The Club will fund these courses for you.
